Sequence alignment for Lysozyme from different speciespublished: 10 Oct 2006 (21:04)
CLUSTALW multiple sequence alignment procedure (Thompson, J.D., Higgins, D.G. and Gibson, T.J. CLUSTAL W: improving the sensitivity of progressive multiple sequence alignment through sequence weighting, position-specific gap penalties and weight matrix choice (1994) Nucleic Acids Res., 22(22), 4673-4680.) was used to prepare sequence alignement for different Lysozyme sequences. Detailed analysis shows, that in this alignment all cysteine residues are conserved.
Sequence for chicken egg white Lysozyme is colored red. Residues coloured blue - are completely conserved.
